Student guide

How students use UK Student Work Hub

From scanning the QR code to building a Digital Passport, this is the simple no-CV route for students aged 16-21.

Start here

Find student work without a CV

Open the website or scan the QR code, create a student account, build your private profile card, then search verified student-friendly work by role and location.

The promise

"We provide the opportunity, you bring the attitude."
No CV needed: use a simple profile card instead.
Photos stay out of public search and can be removed.
Approved work can build your Digital Passport history.
01

Create your account

Choose Student, enter your details, verify your email, and confirm you are aged 16-21. If you are 16-17, guardian, parent, or teacher approval may be required before the account is fully active.

02

Build your No-CV profile

Add your location, availability, short bio, and Professional Readiness Pledge. You can upload a profile photo, but it is intended to stay private inside the platform.

03

Search and choose jobs

Search by job type, company, town, city, or postcode. Save jobs you like, open the job details, then apply or message the employer when the role suits you.

04

Complete work and log time

After a shift, submit your worked times. The employer can approve, adjust, or reject with a reason so your Digital Passport stays accurate.

Professional Readiness Pledge

Character matters more than a CV

Students confirm clear work expectations during sign-up. This helps employers understand reliability without asking for school grades or a traditional CV.

Reliability: I will show up on time for every shift.
Communication: I can follow instructions and signs to get the job done.
Manners: I will be polite and helpful to everyone.
Accountability: I accept the Three-Strike policy for attendance.

Safety and reports

Use the platform if something feels wrong

If a job, message, or workplace situation is unsafe or inappropriate, use the relevant report option and add clear details. Serious reports should be followed up before action is confirmed, and urgent danger should be handled by leaving safely and contacting a trusted adult or emergency services.

Safety guidance

Keep messages polite, stay on-topic, and report anything unsafe, inappropriate, threatening, or misleading. If you feel in immediate danger, leave safely if you can and contact emergency services or a trusted adult.

Venue-only status

UK Student Work Hub is the noticeboard, not the employer. The listed business or agency is responsible for wages, payroll, contracts, workplace conduct, and shift arrangements.

Digital Passport

Build a verified work history from completed shifts

Your Digital Passport is designed to become a record of completed work: company, dates, hours, and feedback where available. When you move on from the platform, this can help show real experience gained through student work.
